Kota Kinabalu: Warisan Kota Kinabalu on Thursday launched the “Spectacles for the Needy” program under the #WarisanCares initiative to help underprivileged students and seniors residing in the city area. Warisan Luyang chief Samuel Wong said they were distributing 300 glasses with prescription lenses under the program, and a local optical center was appointed to work together to provide prescription services. “Schools have fully reopened recently and inflation is getting serious. Many underprivileged families are struggling during this time,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
“Education remains a priority in all families. We hope this insider will lighten their burdens. In addition to this, seniors are also welcome to apply for the program. Warisan Kota Kinabalu Youth Secretary James Yim said they will work closely with Kota Kinabalu district branches to promote various services and assistance to help those in need in the city.
